Season Finale!!!

Yesterday was a picture perfect way to finish off the season. Brian and I took John Durnley and 12 of his friends to Jeffreys for the day in dense fog and no wind.

It cleared up when we reached the Ledge. Our first drift yielded 35 fish-- some cod, mostly haddock. Our next spot, while motor drifting, produced large numbers of cusk right off the bat. When that subsided, a herd of haddock moved in and the back deck was lit up again.

We moved to the Curl and, chute drifting, caught a few pollock in the 12 to 15 pound range, while also taking some market cod and some more haddock. We caught more cusk and haddock at the last drop of the day, while the mate started filleting at 1:30 to keep up with all the fish--88 in all.

Most anglers had between 5 to 7 fish, while others had upwards of 15 or more!
